We are no doubt all aware of the recent events in Christchurch. Despite the level of destruction in certain places, there was thankfully no loss of life.

As the pieces are picked up, images are starting to surface of some of the damage inflicted by the quake. Kaiapoi BMX track is no exception.

The night is going to be run very low key and we may just end up running some gates depending on the numbers we get.

PLANTING POSTPONED TILL 4TH SEPTEMBER

APOLOGIES FOR THE VERY LATE NOTICE, WE ONLY FOUND OUT OURSELVES AT 11:30am.

Project Twin Streams has around 800 plants ready to be planted alongside the BMX track (Momotu Stream bank) and are calling for help from Park users to get them in the ground.

On behalf of the Waitakere BMX Club we would like as many members, families & friends to please come along and help out. Many hands make light work ... plus there's a free BBQ!

Track Condition Report - 7th September 2010

Track conditions as at 11:26 a.m. 7th September 2010;

Condition: Stay at home today - the track's wet.

So much rain lately. I wish we could give you better news. But the track is wet, you'll sink to the other side of the world if you ride on it today.

(Please note: Track condition reports will be conducted on a "whenever we can do them" basis. Each report is accurate only at the time it's given.......it's Auckland after all!)
