The track is ready and all is starting to fall into place...all we hope now is for some fine weather. Watch the database for the Official Test team practices where the track will be closed. The roof over the start gate has started to go on and the concrete corners should be done next week - weather permitting. Its really starting to come together with just 4 weeks to go till the Pres!! North Islands Accom Posted by: Caroline Fox 08/31/2008 Just to remind everyone that if you havent booked your accom for Norths dont delay!! It is the wine and Food Festival on the Sunday so pretty busy. We called at at random a number of establishments and asked what accommodation was available from the period of 20 – 27 October and there were 2 out of the 12 establishments that were fully booked. Accommodation available ranged from studio, caravan and bus sites and a small number of units. Plenty of tent sites are available. Welcome 10/18/2007 Welcome to the site. News from the club president, David Fox, will be constantly added here. Track Development 08/31/2008 The track is coming together nicely now with great community support. Special thanks to BJ Moss ,Hirepool,Rock Products,Bruce McIntosh,Power Connections & Works Infastructure. Their generosity has been overwhelming!! Also a special thanks to our small core of hard workers who have given up weekends and taken time off work to get our track finished. Norths/Track Update 04/23/2008 Time is marching by and the track is ticking away... Unfortunately the weather hasnt been kind of late and work sort of had to come to a halt as a result. But weather permitting this weekend we will be back into it. All is going to plan however. We are on a short break at the moment to re charge those batteries and get into this work but the New season will recommence on Sun May 11th Sign on at 1.30 Racing at 2.00pm. Come along all you new riders - Bring a friend We cater for all ages and all bike types so all of you bowl boys bring along your bikes and you mountain bikers hone your jumping skills!!! But most of all have fun. For those of you that are considering coming to the Norths book your accom now as the Wine and Food festival is on at the same time so Gizzy gets pretty busy but here still seems to be accom available.
